B. Webb: Going South?

In his last 4 starts, after going 8-0 with back-to-back shutouts, Webb's totals: 26.2IP, 33H, 7BB, 12ER, 27K, 4.05ERA, 1.50WHIP.

Has he hit a wall, have the hitters figured him out, or is he simply in a bad luck run?

Any thoughts?

Did you expect him to go 34-2 or somethin? All pitchers have a rough time of it during a season. He should be fine.

As a ground ball pitcher, he's going to go through stretches where grounders find holes. It's inevitable.

Kazmir went through a 3 start funk as well not too long ago.

I wouldn't get too worked up about Webb. He'll be alright

His k/ip seem to be higher then during the period where he rattled off like 5 wins in a row... i think he may have gotten into that strikeout mode which may mean more fastballs and less sinkers, which means more fly balls then ground balls... but that's just conjecture. I'm sure he'll be fine. Chris Carpenter Part Deuce? well that remains to be seen...
