At what point can I fairly veto trades?

Throw Liriano into the mix, and it looks like two managers making a good trade that benefits both their teams.

I end up vetoing it, and explaining to the guy that I want a drama free league where I don't really want to get involved in other people's trades, and even though the other guy may have accepted it, it was just... brutally uneven. To which I got as a response: "Yeah, I was hoping you wouldn't notice! "

The way Liriano is pitching this season he could almost be traded straight up for Wright. Throw in Atkins and it's a fair deal.

David Wright is MVP caliber (2nd only to Pujols) and Liriano is a stud right now, but hes proven it over, what, 10 starts? People have great starts all the time, Wright is the real deal. Liriano has a lot left to prove. And Garett Atkins, IMO, isnt anything special at all. I think it was ok to veto it if you want your league to stay fair and dynasty's not to be made (especially since wright is still so young). Dont get mad about all these people flaming you, Im a commish also and anytime i ask about vetos they say DONT VETO, YOU SUCK AT COMMISIONER, just know that these guys would say that Matt Kemp for Mark Teixeira is not vetoable (they just tolerate anything). You have to go with your gut. PS: 3 names: Ben Sheets, Mark Prior, Rich Harden...

You're joking right? Seriously...Liriano is the next Santana, and has proven it so far. If pitching is so much less of a sure thing, then maybe next year Liriano will have some problems, but this year he's been great. Give me a break.

You're joking right? Seriously...Liriano is the next Santana, and has proven it so far. If pitching is so much less of a sure thing, then maybe next year Liriano will have some problems, but this year he's been great. Give me a break.

And astav is right: people around here NEVER want to veto ANYthing. It really should just be a sticky. "Reasons whatever trade you think is vetoable isn't." I mean, honestly. I got people over at the football cafe (many of the same people) to vote 90% in favor of someone trading their first four rounds of draft picks for someone else's draft picks in rounds 5-8 because they simply couldn't admit that there's something, that even if someone doesn't send you an email saying, "Hey, this is collusion" is collusion or a terrible trade that you need to stop for league integrity.

We're not talking about someone AFTER a season. This is in the middle of a season. Someone needs pitching. Liriano has been amazing, and there's no signs of slowing down. You can't just say Mark Prior was supposed to be great and got hurt. So what? Good for Mark Prior...what does that have to do with anything? Maybe David Wright will have a heart attack tomorrow...the risk of injury is there for everyone.
