The Braves could have had Mike Gonzalez? I don't think so. Maybe it was a rumor in Atlanta, but I don't think there was any reality to that from the Pittsburgh end. He was tabbed as the "closer of the future" late last year.

There's almost no chance he'll get traded. He's relatively young, definitely cheap, and someone who won't get traded unless Pittsburgh robs someone blind.

As for a bust? I don't think he is a bust in reality. Maybe in fantasy, but only because he hasn't had a huge number of opportunities. Like was said before, he's on pace for high 20's saves, under 3.00 ERA and roughly one K per inning. Not bad for someone drafted super late among all closers.

Yea, it isn't his fault that he has had limited oppurtunities. He has done his job when he has gotten to pitch.

Yes, after yesterday's appearance it is at 3.14 (2.60 before yesterday).

I also agree with the irritation in his high WHIP...no doubt about it.
