Blue Jays OF platoon

Postby The Big Train » Thu Jun 22, 2006 9:34 pm

Anyone know of better platoon results lately than the Blue Jays OF platoon of Reed Johnson and Frank Catalanotto? Nobody mentions these guys with Wells, Rios and Glaus in the lineup, but they have been outstanding. Not much power but the Jays don't need much help with that. IMHO, this is one of the biggest reasons for the Jays success so far.

Johnson: .367/.451/.520, 42 R, 55 H, 16 RBI, 4 HR
Catalanotto: .327/.432/.509, 22 R, 54 H, 30 RBI, 5 HR

i picked up johnson to spot start against lefties. i think he would have way better stats if he started against righties too but lil' cat is doing good also.

Cat & Reed have played great but the best platoon in baseball right now is Broussard and Perez of the Indians. Insane #s :-°

Hmmm...I forgot about that one. Yeah, they've been great as well. I don't follow the Indians that much so is that a true platoon situation? If I'm not mistaken, Perez himself has more homeruns than Teixeria, lol. Ok, I won't beat the Teixeira thing anymore. :-D
