he completely shut down the whitesox today and was just eight outs away from a no hitter and ended up giving up only one hit on the day (unfortunately it was the game winning homer)...i just picked up lilly for his K's but i'm starting to think i should pounce on reyes before someone else does?...is he really this good or is he going to fall apart like janssen has been doing lately?...how much should we really be dropping for him?

I made this very move before they matched up against each other. Although Reyes didn't get the win, they both pitched well. I just like a guy with a little upside and Garcia has been bad lately. This move is really a toss up.

Basically I'm complicated.
I have a hard time taking the easy way
I wouldn't call it schizophrenia
But Ill be at least two people today

If that's OK

And I can go on, and on, and on...

But who cares?

1-hitter against the chi-sox. that's pretty impressive.

Wasn't just a no hitter...was almost a perfect game (I think, does an error spoil a perfect game, or just a walk, either way he walked zero...). He has had 4 major league starts and all have been solid:

v CHW 8 IP, 1 H, 1 ER, 0 BB, 6 K
v KC 5.1 IP, 0 ER, 4 H, 1 BB, 1 K
v HOU 6 IP, 3 ER, 5 H, 1 BB, 7 K
v MIL 6.1 IP, 2 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 5 K (in 2005)

So in 25.2 innings he has only given up 12 hits and 6 ER, and was a K/BB of 19/3.

mcliffy2, a perfect game is just what it implies: no one reaches base. 27 up, 27 down.

In my league we have a 5 man rotation and 3 relievers. My starters are Carpenter(STL), Webb(ARZ), Reyes(STL), Oswalt(HOU), and Kazmir(TB). How did I get such good pitching? Well... I made some HUGE sacrifices with my bats.
