just curious because I've only got 6 moves left for the rest of the season in my H2H league and I'm looking to solidify my starting pitching. I want to grab him and either drop Soler, Duke or Enrique Gonzalez, but there's so much hype about every pitcher that is called up that I don't know whether it's worth the risk. Thanks. The more appropriate board was unhelpful.

He starts against the ChiSox tonight, who have scored 33 runs in 2 games against Cards pitching. It should be a good test to see just how good he is. If he manages to shut down the White Sox, there is a good chance that other people in your league may try to grab him before you so act accordingly.

That's basically the plan.

Couple things though.

1. Will he stick in the rotation.

2. Who do I drop between Duke, Soler and E.Gonzalez. I'm thinking Duke despite being a pirates fan. I just am not sure if he can turn it around. Thinking he was just great last year because teams hadn't had a chance to figure him out yet.

The way the Card's staff has been sucking, I am optimistic that Reyes will stick around. Mulder was just sent to the DL, Ponson is deep in the doghouse and Marquis gave up 13! earned runs yesterday. I would keep Soler but either of the other two should be worth giving up for Reyes.

Thanks, I already dropped Duke out of impatience and the need to really get some work done.

Our league counts BBs so I kept Enrique Gonzalez since he has shown great control aside from the game at Texas.

It really doesn't matter that much, cause once Harden and MacDougal come off the DL I am going to have to drop a couple guys. I got Big Hurt there too, but he won't get used much with Lee and Giambi at 1B and Util, so I'm just going to stash him on the DL in case of emergency since I now only have 5 moves left.

Most opinions I have read list his ceiling as a #2 starter.

Idk about Garcia. He hasn't been good this year and he doesn't post a lot of K's but he is a good #3 starter. Post your starting rotation and maybe we can help you drop someone. Reyes should stay up in the big leagues esp with Mulder on the DL.

i buckled and took reyes while dropping one of 2 my relievers (wickman, cle).

my starters are now:

f. garcia (cws)
d. haren (oak)
f. liriano (min)
p. martinez (nym)
a. pettite (hou)
s. kazmir (tb)
b. webb (ariz)
c. young (sd)
a. reyes (stl)

but i only have one reliever, ray (balt) who just got rocked in the 9th vs the marlins.

i am screwed with saves. i hope this reyes kid is the real deal.

i figured at least i could always pick up a reliever later on who is as good as wickman (or pick up wickman again for the 3rd time since theres a decent chance no one picks him up).
