A's could barely win against the Rockies in Coors.
3 Runs all by Nick Swisher in 3 games
Homer? I can't stand the A's, I just think they are going to put it together and go on a nice run and cary it into October. If Harden can stay healthy for the rest of the season their rotation is as good as anyones one through five. And as somebody else mentioned, they have historically been a second half team the last fews years, I see no reason to expect anything else this season. I expect them to pull away and take the AL West fairly easily, then anything can happen in the playoffs.

Harden is a big IF. I lump Harden in with Wood Prior, Burnett etc..SP with good arms that can't stay healty. Even if they make the playoffs they can't win a series.
1. White Sox - still the best team IMO
2. Mets - good all around (this one hurt to type)
3. Yankees - playing well right now and with the possiblity of Matsui/Sheff returning later on
4. Cardinals - Pujols can carry them and Rolen's hitting
5. Astros - Have enough with Clemens back I think & have been there

These comments make me smile.
I agree AV, I think the A's have a shot. They have what most teams don't - depth. Losing two of your starters, starting right field and shortstops, and most of your bullpen for a large portion of this year thus far would have crippled most teams.
If healthy, the A's have the rotation and pen to limit offense. With Thomas, Ellis and Bradley returning, Chavez's usual 2nd half killing, Swisher and Johnson raking, I don't see how this is laughable.
You guys looked at the standings, right? Oakland have been playing with 75% (at most) of their desired roster thus far and have stayed above water. Most of the season they have been fielding a Triple-A team.
When the A's win a playoff series then I'll believe. So Rynman do you think that the A's at the end of the season are a better team than the CWS, Tigers, NYY, BoSox or even the Bluejays? I think not.
