Thats definitely a cause for concern. His walk rate is also up, but not as dramatically. It's odd.....those trends might lead you to believe that he is becoming more of a true power hitter, but he's on pace to hit fewer than the 27 HRs he hit last year, and his slugging % is down
EDIT:Maybe he is trying to hard to hit the HR? His track record is exactly filled with HRs. Last year his sluggin % was over 50 points higher than it ever had been. Now he's pressing for the longball and it's not workin out well
