I just noticed this kid lost his start against the Orioles this week with the return of Patterson. (bad move Frank, the O's can't hit lefties to save their lives )

Anyone know if he's getting sent down to AAA or did he just get push back to next week?

A decision won't be made until later in the week. The Nats may be forced to place Tony Armas Jr. on the DL. He won't be reevaluated until it's determined if the cortisone injection he received worked or not. If placed on the DL, O'Connor would likely stay. If not, the Nats will send a pitcher down and he could be a candidate at that time.

Hmm, thanks for the update. Hope they keep O'Connor up somehow even if Armas is ok, he's been pitching well enough to deserve retention in the majors.

I'm guessing that it would be Sean Hill sent down; he's been pretty good through 4 starts until he ran into the Red Sox tonight. I'm wondering if the Nats will try to move Livan Hernandez or Ramon Ortiz (if anyone will take either) which would probably guarantee O'Connor a spot.
