I'm not saying that he was not on steriods, but there is no way that steriods alone turn you from a mediocre player to the MVP in one year

Before you Trü fans get too excited, let me remind you he hit .321 last June en route to his .255 season. No other month was even within sniffing distance of .300. He hits the occasional home run, but this here's an average hitter at best, "sweet swing" notwithstanding.

He's just pressing too much to drive in runs I guess.

Note:If you go to yahoo, find beltre and click on situational stats it will show you RISP numbers. Now he is at a whopping .178 (13/73).

Yea, but he isn't doing much better with the bases empty, he's batting just .233 with em empty.
