Wow, today sucked.

First I built from a starting stack of 2500 to 4400. Then I lose about 1500 chips in a 3500 chip pot when my AA are cracked to KQ on a river Q. It came out K-8-6 then 4-Q. Down to about 2900. Make a play pre-flop with JJ get called by several hands including A5 and A9, out came and A and a K so I fold after that flop. Down to around 2700. Then came the hand. I'm holding A8 off-suit sitting at the BB. Guy makes it 120 to go from the button so an additional 100 for me to call, so I call. Out came 8-8-9, rainbow. I check it, he makes an unusual 300 chip stab at it, I make a minimum raise to 600, and he moves in. I call, and he flips over 10-J for an open-ended straight draw. 8-o

You figure out what he catches from there. :-t

I'm second out.

99 preflop, it is raised to 120, I call, so do a few others. Flop comes out J76 rainbow, he makes what I judge as a continuation bet with AK, folds around to me, and I'm last to act. I put my remaining 1200 chips in the pot assuming AK and if he has a high pocket pair, or he made a move with AJ preflop then I'm going home. But I figured I was way ahead. I was. Didn't matter. He calls, flips his AQ over and the turn comes a Q. Good morning, good afternoon, good night.

Good luck Cafe.

Perhaps I could have waited for a better time, but I felt I was ahead and was right. He had 6 outs...whatcha gonna do?

My day comes to a crashing halt as two people go all in including the biggest stack at the table and I'm holding A/A. No choice but to call, and get sucked out on. :-t

Sorry you three didnt make the first break. I had a VERY quiet 1st hour only playing 4 hands in all only 1 not from the blinds. I'm at 3120 at the break with very little action.

Hopefully I can get cards in hour 2.

I'm still in, but struggling. I'm at just about 3k, but I came in about 20 mins late and have just felt off the whole time. If I'm not sure of my hand the big stacks bully me ruthlessly and I'm just not feeling it right now.

Big ouch to Madison. Ya had to do it.

Madison that hand you saw of me, even though I wanted to call, his pair of fives had me beat so I had to fold. Lost half my stack but still alive. I'm a pretty good short stack player so I should be ok.
