I honestly can't imagine a team giving anything of value for Kennedy... On a good team, at best he's a pinch hitter.

I disagree, Kennedy has been a very steady hitter and fielder for much of his career. He's just slumping right now. J.P. offered Hillenbrand a few weeks back, Stoneman didn't take him. So I guess Ricciardi did think Kennedy could be more than a pinch hitter on the Jays, if he was willing to give up a big piece of the offense like Hillenbrand.

The Angels need offense. They've been the third worst hitting team in the league this year (in terms of OPS at .708). They are only a few hundredths ahead of the Cubs and the Royals...
