Stoneman should have traded Kennedy for Hillenbrand, the deal was on the table, and he pulled out.

I honestly can't imagine a team giving anything of value for Kennedy... On a good team, at best he's a pinch hitter.

I disagree, Kennedy has been a very steady hitter and fielder for much of his career. He's just slumping right now. J.P. offered Hillenbrand a few weeks back, Stoneman didn't take him. So I guess Ricciardi did think Kennedy could be more than a pinch hitter on the Jays, if he was willing to give up a big piece of the offense like Hillenbrand.

Does anyone else think that the Angels should deal Kennedy for a quality relief arm? Seems to me the last thing that they need is another guy in the field to block their prospects - unless of course they can get back a quality outfielder - better than say Rivera.

Well I must say johnsamo, it is just nice to have Angel talk in here again. We have not had it for a long long time.

The Angels have always been loyal to a fault when it comes to their players. (IE Biggio in HOU last season). And I have to believe that any GM trying to work a deal with Anaheim is asking for one of their top prospects in return. Wouldn't you? Remember it is still early and we are months away from the trading deadline so in most GM’s minds, there is no reason to make a deal now. A lot can happen in the next month. A lot

Also, Scoissia does not strike me as the type of guy who would give up on Kennedy that quickly.

The Angels need offense. They've been the third worst hitting team in the league this year (in terms of OPS at .708). They are only a few hundredths ahead of the Cubs and the Royals...
