Is Aubrey Huff on the brink of busting out?

Postby StudentOfTheGame » Wed Jun 21, 2006 3:36 pm

His numbers right now are terrible, but he is traditionally a very slow starter and a great second half guy. He has only struck out 19 times all season so its not like he hasn't been making contact. That makes me think he has got to start rolling pretty soon. He has a hit in each of his last 5 games and he had a 4 hit day yesterday. Does anyone think he is capable of finishing out the season with respectable numbers after a horrid start?

Depends on how you define "busting out." Do better than he has so far this year? Sure, but I don't see a huge upswing in his numbers so far this year. Maybe he just needs to get out of Tampa.

I'm thinking like .285/ 20 HR/90 RBI.....Those numbers would be great considering how he has started out.

I just picked him up. Hoping he'll get hot and get traded. I think he'll have a solid 2nd half. Doubt he'll hit the numbers you posted, but he might get close.

I traded Shea & BMolina for him. I think he explodes 2nd half with a trade to a new venue. He looks sick and tired of being in TB.

Don't think he'll hit those numbers but he'll improve. I'm thinking .270, 20 HR's, 75 RBI's.
