Clearly MLB is not a "saintly" organization. But the fact that, amongst all of that, Ozzie can stand out so plainly as the head a-hole of the bunch is a pretty amazing feat on his part. ;-7

Good attempt, but one really has nothing to do with another. One man accused of being dirty and breaking records that are already dirty, another man who blatantly calls columnists homosexual slurs?

I don't like Jay Mariotti by any means. I understand that the word is often used out of context and most of us have said it joking around with or friends, etc.

That doesn't make it right for a celebrity and LEADER of a World Championship team to be yelling it out in front of a microphone. Have some class Guillen.

Perhaps I'd cut him some slack if...

1.) He actually apologized and didn't the do that air quote BS.

2.) This was his first offense. But it isn't. The guy never shuts the hell up. I can respect a person who speaks there mind, but there comes a time where you need to either a.) realize the issue does not concern you (ala the A-Rod/WBC thing) or b.) think before you speak or c.) just shut the hell up.

The MLB doesn't need ambassadors like this.

Well, I think most of the people on this thread are not defending Ozzie. It's a bit of an unfair generalization. But yes, I am surprised that there are a few that are behind him.

Well, I think most of the people on this thread are not defending Ozzie. It's a bit of an unfair generalization. But yes, I am surprised that there are a few that are behind him.

I'm not behind Ozzie but I guess I just don't care. I don't like Marriotti and I've heard curse words before. oh well

oh and he "went to a Madonna concert", "My hair dresser and my wifes friend called me and we laughed about it" so now it is somehow okay . ;-)
