Last night at 6 my friend calls me and tells me to be at his house at 8 because we were driving to Vegas for a 24 hour session. I had no plans or ideas that this was going to be what I did last night. I was like, I have the extra cash. Nothing to do until the 21st of August, so why the hell not.
I am coming from Orange County, California and we made it there in 3 hours, no joke. We sit down at the blackjack table at about midnight and play until 9am. At 9 we go to my buddy's room (he was there with his girlfriend already) for a power nap. Wake up at 1130, eat some breakfast and get on the road to head home.
I broke exactly even. It cost me about $30-40 in gas and food or the night, but I spend that at bars here, so it was totally worth it.

me and my friends used to do sorta the same thing before we were 21. we'd drive to windsor canada which is right across the lake from detriot. gambling and drinking ages are only 18 there. so it was always heaven. the drives back were always rough though.
If I lived that close I'd probably go at least once a month.
We have Atlantic City near me (NY) but the ride is a. They plan on building a direct rail from Manhattan to AC soon. That may be right up my alley. Vegas is better. AC tends to be pretty cheesy sometimes.

Ages have gone up so I am presuming this was a coupl eo fyears ago. Now in ontario it is 19 to drink and gamble. I can't wait till I am 21 I am going to Vegas. Or when I am 19 I am heading to Niagara.
