Papelbon getting night off

Save situation, and Timlin's staying in. I think Paps has worked three days in a row or something like that, and I had read that he would probably not be used tonight.

yup, 3 saves in 3 days, but not 4 days in a row. looks like paps is at least partially human.

I made a bet in 2003 that the Devil Rays would win the 2008 World Series. Oh so close.

LOL, fantasy owners must be paranoid if we might be concerned that Paps -- he of the 23 saves and mathematically impossible ERA and WHIP -- doesn't get a save for like the first time this year. I think his job is secure, no? :-D

Second time actually. J. Tavárez closed the finale game vs Tampa in May on May 28 because Pap had closed 3 straight games in that series against Tampa.

What's funny about Pap's ERA is that he can go a few scoreless innings and it won't go down a bit because it's so close to zero as it is.
