With ya on that. However CBS put a damper on that today, pointing out that he didn't have too good a last outing. While I read someone else saying he had been lights out lately. Well, I picked him up last night, now all I can do is keep my fingers crossed. Oh yeah, I dropped that stud Sele, so not much lost anyway.

If Ponson is truly being sent to the pen I can't see how it would be anyone but Reyes.

If Reyes was to join the Cards rotation. He would be the 2nd or 3rd best starter on their team right now.

And as a bonus he's available right now in Yahoo leagues...no waiver wire crap or anything along those lines. He's not a stud SP so don't go crazy dropping legit guys for him but he's VERY worth a pickup if you have someone on your roster that's expendable.

Unfortunately my main keeper league has farm teams so he's off-limits there. :-t

That is a real tough question, but at this point, i guess i have to go with Billingsley. Cain has been a huge disappointment so far.

My question is, who will be the better pitcher for the rest of the year out of these guys, and add in Hamels.

Depends on what you need. First of all I don't like Cain all that much. His hr/k/bb/ip numbers are not that good this year and were not very good last year either.

Billingsley's control was a bit spotty in the minors and Olsen hasn't been a ton better but if you want strikeouts these are the two I'd look at. Olsen's been up longer so I'd probably go with him but again - only if you need k's.

If you want an all-around pitcher go Reyes. He's more polished at this point, has better command and once Pujols is back plays for a team that should make getting wins fairly easy. He'll probably give you a lower k/9 than Billingsley or Olsen but I think overall he's the better pitcher.

I'd stick with the same answer that I gave above but I'd probably put Hamels at the top of the list of strikeout pitchers. He doesn't rely on a 'trick pitch' nor on an overpowering fastball to succeed....he relies on an excellent fastball/changeup combo. All 3 of those guys have control issues though so I still think Reyes is the better play overall for this year only.
