Manny Ramirez became the fastest player to hit 100 career home runs as a member of the Boston Red Sox with a solo shot in the sixth inning Saturday night.
The homer, which came in Ramirez's 1,388th at-bat as a member of the Red Sox, eclipsed the mark of 1,390 at-bats set by Jimmie Foxx.
Ramirez, who also became the 25th player to hit 100 homers with the Red Sox, tied the game against Baltimore at 3 when he hit a 2-2 pitch off Damian Moss that carried over the Green Monster seats.
Ramirez has 26 homers this season, and 336 for his career -- the first eight seasons of which were spent with Cleveland.
