If you have ever wanted to learn more about the lives outside of the Cafe for some of out "high profile posters", your chance is here. As suggested in this thread, we will be conducting interviews of certain Cafe members and the questions will come from you, the community.
We will begin with the member whose dominance over these boards rivals that of Albert Pujols on the baseball field. It is only fitting that Madison is the first on our list because of his recent promotion, not to mention the fact that he has more total posts than the next two high posters combined.
The current plan is to gather as many questions as we can and choose about 10 to use per interview. Hopefully we can get some good ones and the project will be successful. Let the interrogation begin.
We did this on The Light Side. Everybody thought it sounded like a really good idea, but then it didn't take off.
The reality is, most of us are pretty similar people. We have a few different interests in things, but for the most part we're all identical enough that the interviews aren't all that gripping.
Another thing is that you have to find the right interviewer. You need to have someone who's good at asking probing questions, then who can edit down what they get into a concise narrative.
Finally, the subject has to be willing to expound on things to a degree that allows for interesting answers. If they just give brief answers the whole interview will flounder.
It's possible this will happen and this will be a success, but these sets of skills aren't common. I have reservations about this succeeding.
But that's not to say I don't wish you all good luck with it!

Honestly, doesn't mean we "will" use it, but we might, so it doesn't hurt anything at all to ask.
Knapp, those are some good points, and we're going to do our best to make sure the interviews are interesting and enjoyable to read.
