Garko--I personally think his bat is ready, but his glove is nowhere near close enough. And with Hafner manning the DH spot in Cleveland, there really is nowhere to put Garko.

Bankston--There is a good chance that he will be in Tampa next year. With all the other problems to the Devil Rays top prospects, Bankston is now a decent bet at a late season call up.

LaPorta--Basically will depend on how well he moves up in the Boston system this year. I think he is the biggest long shot of these 3 players to be in the majors by next year.

Speaking of Shealy, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported in a blog that the Braves were having discussions with the Rockies about a minor league 1B, whom I presume to be Shealy, for some sort of deal involving Chris Reitsma and perhaps another player.

Why would atl want another 1B in the minors.... where they have hot hitting scott thorman at the moment

I doubt any of those 1B will have an impact in the majors next year. I personally don't like any of them to much for fantasy purposes. Bankston might be solid down the road but I don't see him as someone to come right in and have very good success.
