Yikes...this sounds bad...quit killing me and put him on the DL!

Johnson has a lumbar strain in his lower back and is listed as day-to-day. For Johnson, it's the same injury that he had in 2004 with the Expos when he dove for a ball against the Marlins in Spring Training. He ended up missing the first 45 games that year.

this is from CBSSportsline.com

Nick Johnson, 1B WAS

News: First baseman Nick Johnson remains day-to-day after results of an MRI to check on back spasms were negative on Wednesday. He missed his fourth consecutive game Wednesday night. In 70 games, Johnson is batting .312 with 12 homers and 33 RBI.

Analysis: Keep Johnson reserved in all Fantasy leagues until he can officially return and prove his health in consecutive games.

Yahoo seems to think differently, but my money is on CBS being right:

Bill Ladson, of Nationals.MLB.com, reports Washington Nationals 1B Nick Johnson (back) took batting practice Friday, June 23, and could play Saturday, June 24.
