The Blue Jays placed pitcher Cory Lidle on the 15-day disabled list Friday with a strained left groin. The move is retroactive to August 5. Lidle has been bothered by the injury in addition to a sore shoulder and may be out for several weeks, if not the rest of the season.
So much for his reputation of being a second-half pitcher. Lidle went 8-2 to start the season, but went 1-6 with a 8.72 ERA over his last eight starts. Fantasy players should stick a fork in him for this year.
same with vargas get him off your squad, at least there was hope for a big second half. another point for billy.
