Post game show - Scioscia explained it... it's confirmed. It'll take a while for the press to write it up.

Stunning. They deserve to be in last place. As a Mariners fan, I'm all for the Angels being idiots, but you gotta feel bad for the kid. He's done everything he possibly could.

He'll be back soon.

The Angels are a joke. Jered, demand a trade to a team that will treat you well :-t

Nope, Scioscia explained the option thing, but hinted that things are in the works that might mean a quick callback. The post game hosts, who would presumably know the inside scoop, are saying ERvin Santana will be traded for a hitter in the next week or so. They said Carl Crawford is who they want, but he's not the only option... I'm guessing Carlos Lee is option B... Maybe Soriano.

Ervin Santana is the real deal. He's young and has fantastic stuff.

Saw Jered being interviewed about it in the locker room. He said all the right things you're supposed to say, plus, I think he knows he'll be back very soon.

There must be something in the works that will have him back pretty quickly.

Either that or the Angels have gone completely mad. :-B

The Angels after the game optioned right-hander Jered Weaver, Jeff's brother, to Triple-A Salt Lake and activated reigning AL Cy Young Award winner Bartolo Colon from the disabled list. Colon will start Sunday against the Padres. He had been sidelined since April 16 with inflammation in his shoulder.
