He just hit a two-run bomb, his third hit of the night and second extra base hit (against a guy in Capuano who was really on). It's his second three hit game (6/8) in his last two games.
Peralta gave us hope earlier in the season with a couple of big games in a row, then went back to his sucking ways. This guy K's way too much to be a consistant hitter at this point in his career. I was lucky enough to get rid of him about 3 weeks ago in a Tejada for Peralta/J. Schmidt trade. Personally, I am glad he is no longer a member of my fantasy squad.
78, 82, 24, .292 last yr in his first full season.
International League (AAA) MVP and batting title in 2004, and I believe he won another batting title previous in a lower league.
He'll be a good, if not great, player, but perhaps folks were expecting too much too soon from a guy who was 23 until 2 weeks ago. There will be some growing pains.
