Is Johnny Damon about to fall apart?

Is this guy good for the duration of the season??

Jun 15 The New York Times is reporting New York Yankees OF Johnny Damon (hamstring) suffered a sore hamstring June 15 and had to leave that day's game against the Cleveland Indians. Damon said his hamstring problem was connected to his lower back problem. It has nothing to do with his aching left shoulder, his painful right elbow or the cracked bone in his right foot.

Yankees outfielder Johnny Damon left Thursday's game in the eighth inning after feeling a slight twinge in his right hamstring. He is expected to play Friday in Washington, according to the Associated Press.

Our View
Damon is as banged up as a demolition derby car, but he continues to play through all the maladies. Sooner or later, this has got to catch up with him and when it does, fantasy owners will be left scrambling.

600 AB's every year since 98(583 in 99), hes a horse, and he plays through injuries. I wouldnt worry too much about it at this point.

He may close to a lock to get to 600 ABs but with him as banged up as he is, that's a lot of injuries for someone to be dealing with, they're not going to be 600 quality ABs. If you can get good value in a trade for him at this point I think it might be wise to go for it. Those injuries are going to linger and continue to affect his numbers.

Johnny Damon was absolutely horse dung in September and October of 2005 because of his injuries. These injuries, IMO, basically mean that those September and October numbers will come back and may start coming back in August and not a month later.
