Matt Clement placed on 15-day DL

The Boston Red Sox placed pitcher Matt Clement on the 15-day DL with a right shoulder strain. The Red Sox recalled outfielder Gabe Kapler to take Clement's spot on the roster.

He was an all-star last year, than he took that line drive from Carl Crawford and hasnt been the same since.

Yeah, after the All-Star game he fell down HARD. Snyder is replacing him for the time being and Lester's replacing Wells, I believe.

Agreed.
He's also been whacked a couple times this year, although not in the head.

THE NEWS
Red Sox pitcher Matt Clement had another exam on his tired right arm/shoulder and no structural damage was found. There is no timetable for when he's be able to start throwing again, and manager Terry Francona told the Providence Journal that Clement will begin a strengthening program similar to the one followed recently by Mike Timlin when he was on the disabled list. The team doesn't expect Clement to return as quickly as Timlin did.

Our View
Clement is becoming more of a liability for fantasy owners than anything else. He still has potential, but shouldn't take up a roster spot unless you have deep benches in your league.
