I think the tone on the NPR site is the one most people under 30 can hear; I can just make it out if it's completely quiet. There's another tone though that most people under 20 can't hear; I'll try and find it.

Ahh...! I'm 25, had the volume at half and just threw my speakers across the room. Damn that's loud and annoying. Why use that when you can just have vibration?
