I figured it out. I think Mondesi means that Posada and Jeter are from USA (Jeter was born in NY or NJ or something, Posada in Puerto Rico). Bernie was born in Puerto Rico, as well. Although it does add up, I really don't think it makes sense. I think the Yankees were more fed up with Mondesi's attitude than where he's from. Soriano was hitting leadoff today again, anyway. Soriano also said that being moved down in the lineup helped him.
