Some positive Sheets news.

Postby Don G. » Fri Jun 16, 2006 12:39 am

I would this on Rotoworld....something a little positive.

Ben Sheets (shoulder) has had 10 minute sessions in the bullpen the past several days.
"I know it's getting better," Sheets said. "I don't know what's going on in there but I know it's getting better." The Brewers still haven't established a timeline for Sheets rehab process.[/b]

Sheets

Postby freeling_prideful » Fri Jun 16, 2006 8:43 am

Just traded for this guy so that's decent news. I get the feeling that he'll be back after the AS break, which is good enough for me. It's effectively like making a midseason trade for a great SP.

Man I hope so. I'd be adding him and Clemens to my NL-only staff, which might actually allow me to get back into a competetive position in the pitching cats.

Curious what you gave up for him...
Let's go O's. Let's go Mets.

I'm also curious as to what it took to get him - I'm a big Sheets fan and wouldn't mind acquiring him if the price is right.

I traded Escobar and Gagne, right after his first save and before he retuned to the DL, for Peavy. This is a 16 team 4 player keeper league.

I just realized I wrote on the wrong message thread. However I did make a trade earlier this season to acquire Sheets. I traded Wang, Jeff Weaver, and Wilkerson for Sheets and Milton Bradley. The trade really has not payed off very well to this date. Hoping for a solid return post ASB.

I don't know if I'd agree that the trade hasn't payed off. You got rid of Jeff Weaver didn't you? ;)

That's pretty funny. I was just about to post "What the hell does that have to do with Sheets?!".

Nice trade though. ;-D

Thanks for the update DG!
