Mike McDougal back soon

Postby gbill2004 » Thu Jun 15, 2006 6:15 pm

Mike McDougal, closer for the Royals should be back in the next few days. Is he worth a pickup as a lower tier closer?

I realize he won't get a tonn of saves, but at least he'd be the number one closer there, right?

do you have a source for this? I really haven't heard much about him lately.

Well, your better bet might be to grab him and hope someone like the Braves trade for him.

I would pick him up. He will help your ERA WHIP and get you saves. Also it turned out he only pitched a simulated game but will pitch a game on Sunday.

Hmm, when do you think he'll be back pitching for the Royals as it looks like he is doing rehabs...?

Any new info?? I might be able to use a fourth closer.
Basically I'm complicated.
I have a hard time taking the easy way
I wouldn't call it schizophrenia
But Ill be at least two people today

If that's OK

And I can go on, and on, and on...

But who cares?

MacDougal is marginally better in bb/9 and hr/9 than the other options...he also seems to have a better temperament for closing. I'll agree that he's not a significant upgrade but he is a bit better. We're not talking Mariano Rivera to Kyle Farnsworth better here but it's something.
