Hey all you H2H vets

This is my first year in H2H and it's been a pretty damn nice run thus far. I'm in 1st place by 12.5 games with 6 weeks to go. What's everyone's experience in this sort of situation? Have you ever been up like this before and what was the outcome? Basically I don't think I have anything wrapped up yet but this is the biggest margin anyone's led all season so I'm pretty confident. Is 12.5 games enough or should I be sweating this out? Thanks all!

Now is a good time to make sure that you are ready for the playoffs. If you have any holes, plug them. I'm sure since you are in first that you don't have any obvious holes or problems, but any way you can get stronger will pay off in the playoffs. Good luck! ;-D

LOL, I'm always forgetting something. Our league doesn't have a playoff system, basically it's just one long extended regular season so really it's just 6 weeks of H2H action left with no playoffs. Person in 1st at the end of the season wins, no playoff needed.

Just to add one other point...Since you are in first now, you have been doing something right...don't change that...the only thing now is don't let someone go into a real cold slump while they are in your line up...pitcher or hitter...looks like you are in good shape though... ;-D

Don't switch around too many players. It doesn't allways work. That's just from my own experience. I pretty much stick with one lineup. That's not just because I only have one offensive player on my bench...This year I'm working with a pretty strong and big pitchng staff, cause my offense has plenty of solid players.

C Mike Lieberthal (C-Phi)
1B Todd Helton (1B-Col)
2B Marcus Giles (2B-Atl)
3B Bill Mueller (3B-Bos)
SS Mark Loretta (2B,3B,SS-SD)
OF Chipper Jones (LF-Atl)
OF Brian Giles (CF-Atl)
OF Gary Sheffield (RF-Atl)
Util Jeff Bagwell (1B-Hou)
Bench Mark Teixeira (3B,1B-Tex)

SP Pedro Martinez (SP-Bos)
SP Mark Mulder (SP-Oak)
RP John Smoltz (RP-Atl)
RP Braden Looper (RP-Fla)
P Brett Myers (SP-Phi)
P Guillermo Mota (RP-LA) (just to keep my ERA low incase someone screwes up)
P Esteban Loaiza (SP-CWS)
Bench Brandon Webb (SP,RP-Ari)
Bench Josh Beckett (SP-Fla)
Bench Rich Harden (SP-Oak)
Bench Hideo Nomo (SP-LA)

i usually just get the players i want in a draft and never visit the leauge home again unless a trade calls. i think its a good strategy , im in first in 6 of them.

Looks as though a little bit of wishful thinking slipped in ... :-D

As to the string. I'm 13.5 up with a few weeks left for the playoffs. I had a very good draft, made some excellent trades that allowed me to ride out some of the injuries on my squad, and, of course, got a little bit lucky. It's my first year doing h2h, so it's all still a learning experience. I'm not planning on making any major changes for the playoffs, hopefully this will work out for me.
