Right. Exactly. Art (Vandelay)'s point about the slippery slope that we go down when we start to put art in a box is valid, BUT, not ALL creativity is the same.

It's like a joke. Jokes are funny because they're funny. We all have different humor and we all appreciate some jokes more than others, but if a joke has to be laboriously explained then it's not funny.

Some of the modern stuff like Anselm Keifer or Mark Rothko isn't that impressive in a book but is more interesting if you see the actual sucker the size of a garage door.
