LMAO ..

Baseball rule 1.01 .. "baseball is a game played with 9 player's on each team." not 10 :-)

Yea, yea, yea. I get it. Like I said before. I'm a fan of both leagues. How much fun is it to watch a pitcher look like a kid going through puberty every 9th batter? Most pitchers are so awkward at the plate it's funny. ;-)

Useless Trivia of the day

England's Worcester Canoe Club set the world record for paddling a hand-propelled bathtub. The 25 man team covered a distance of 55 miles, 425 yards in 24 hours on September 28 and 29, 1979.

I wished they did a few years ago. I took the chance with Hampton when he signed with the Rockies. His pitching numbers were terrible, but he hit like 7 home runs! I could have used that, especially since that was also McGuire's last year where he hit like .179 with 20 something hr's. That team of mine was in shambles. 8-o

I imagine that if they never had a DH rule ... that Pitchers would have learned to hit along time ago. Alot of pitchers in the NL actually take pride in there AB's .. But then alot look like RJ at the plate too .. :-)

Unfortunately, the NL plays real basbeall, instead of the garbage slugfests they try to pass of for baseball in the AL.
The NL isnt far behind. I believe the hr ratios are about even, and as we speak, 4 of the worst 7 eras are nl teams. The dh has outlived itself. It was started by al in 73 to spur attendance with higher scoring. The NL had the dominent players over the al in the 60's, and the al was trying to even it up.

I just heard that Piazza catched like 5 innings and wants to go to 7 next game and up to 9. But he also took some ground balls...

Clark will be the PT loser, yep

Adn who do you think are the ten best batters among the pitchers in the majors?

Hampton maybe
Kerry Wood isn't that bad, too, Prior and Zambrano, the later two having a pair of homers so far
Eaton, Ortiz and Penny all have two homers each
Woody Williams has ten runs, and just like old man Kevin Brown he has three doubles
Heading that list is, of course, Brooks Kieschnick
