Oh man even though i hate him and think he does the worst job ever I mean some of the jokes he allows us to crack on his behalf really almost makes it worth him being president.
Don't really see anything overly interesting or odd about this. The guy admitted that he didn't tell anyone, wasn't offended, Bush apologized anyway, so no real story here.
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....

Right. People just like to pile on during an unpopular president's waning days, methinks.
A president should be at ease with and be able to poke fun at reporters. The fact that he called to apologize for a very understandable mix up was pretty decent. It would have been very bad if he had an aide call or if he did it with a press release.
It's just funny...it could be any president who cares. I feel like its an Onion article. I doesn't suay me one way or the other. I just think its funny the whole concept of it.
The Secret Lives of the US Presidents is an awesome book, its a pefect book to keep next to the john. Grow a tail and read a couple of pages of funny facts about our formers presidents.
For instance...
Warren G. Harding bet the White House china in a poker game, and lost it.
Washington was paid 25K a year while in office (about 1mil today) and spent 7% on booze.
James Polk had a mullet
John Quincy Adams had a penchant for skinny dipping in the Potomac
