yah, cept K's, ERA, and WHIP are 3 categories. SV's is one. i view it as i put in some solid MR guys who help in the first 3 and if they contribute to the rest, fine. if not, that's fine, too.

I actually just got done writing an article about the win expectation for MR's (among other things) to help people in deciding when to use this strategy. Link's in the sig.

If you have a deep bench league, it does not matter much of course and works out well for you. But if you have a shallow bench, like only 1 or 2 spots, then this strategy is hurting you probably as much as it helps as you do not have the flexibility to get a DL guy out of the lineup, spot start someone else on a good matchup, etc.
I don't think this matters much in a Roto league where this strategy is most effective. In Roto it doesn't matter if you "waste" a roster spot as long as you are on pace for the required innings pitched.
Ahh, another crazy Barney sig?
And in regards to Zumaya, he's been great for me. I'm just waiting until he inevitably gets the closer job.
