I'm not sure Camp "lost" the closer job as much as he hadn't solidified his grab on it when they got Tyler Walker, who they wanted to close.

At this point, they ought to just let Orvella grow into the role.

What a mess. At the same time I can't resist jumping in and just picked up Lugo. half the excitement is the rare opportunity to own two guys named Lugo playing for the D Rays.

In related news, Miceli was transferred to the 60 day DL, so I guess we can take him out of the running to regain his job at any point this season.

I would expect a little more from someone like you Yanks...

People are trying to get an edge wherever they can. That is the sign of a good player. You're saying you wouldn't drop a waiver wire starter to get a few more saves for two weeks, possibly more???

I hate when people dismiss a closer situation. There are saves to be had, period. Even the KC situation warrants a look. Saves are just too hard to come by.

It's laughable how off you are. Ha.

A good player will get saves wherever they can. I drafted one closer last year and played the wire all year, winning my big money league. Your saying T. Walker's 10 saves won't count towards a teams stats, or Miceli's before him??? Saves are saves. Period.

Im in a competitive 20 team league and saves are scarce so any potential closer change interest me. Some teams only have one closer so even marginal players are valuable.

And in standard 10 or 12 team mixed leagues, guys that get 4 saves a month with an 8 ERA and 1.6 WHIP are NOT worth wasting a roster spot on.
