Is there a humidor in Arlington that we don't know about?

There is absolutely nothing to worry about with Teix. The kid has been streaky, even during his last two breakout seasons. Let's not forget the 13-homer July of '03. Last year he started hot, cooled off in July/August, then blew up for 9 HR and 35 RBI in September!

I'm buying low on this kid across the board. He's going to explode any time now, and you'll be happy to have him on your squad. ;-D
Is there anything fluffier than a cloud?
If there is, I don't want to know about it.

During each of his worst months last year--July and August--he had as many homeruns (6) as he has all year this year.

He's reminding me of *shudder* Richard Hidalgo.

I dunno, but Tex in particular is looking very "Helton-like". Assuming he is healthy, a guy that goes from 40+ Hrs one year to about 15 this (at the current pace) sure is hard to explain. The swing/mechanics explanation sure sounds like nonsense to me. And it has not helped today either. Guys getting doubles instead of Hrs are a classic sign of a guy that has lost power. WHich leads to the obvious questionas to why a 20 something year old would suddenly lose power?

Helton had injury issues. Tex is healthy, supposedly.

i highly doubt teix is or was on juice, he's never really looked like he was.
the problem i think is something i talked about before the season... he always starts very slow, and i think getting next to no spring training or any atbats in the wbc probably slowed him even more. plus the rangers hitting instructor just came back last week after having prostate cancer.

im not sure whats with young....he's been off and on so much its hard to say, he's hitting into more and more double plays.

before I say what I am gonna say it will seem weird to you but just think about it.
My theory is a curse that is in the AL West, The people who have been victim's of the curse are Beltre, coming from the dodgers hitting 46 homeruns the previous year and and complete dud with the mariner's, same with his teammate sexson, he did well last year but has also been a dud this year, curse anyone ?
Now Teixeira and m. young are going thru on the rangers.
On the angels it was S. Finley who hit 37 homeruns for the diamondbacks the previous year and was a complete dud with the angels. plus his teammates are feeling it and did feel it (Glaus), now its G. Anderson. And V. Guerrero hasn't been as good when he was with the expos.
The athletics it was D. Justice a couple years ago. And J. Kendall as the current player going thru it.

It seems players in the AL WEst get their power taken away, a curse or just imagining it ?
