Looks like a competitive team. Keep an eye out for more pickups though. Might be time to drop Sheff if another bench player comes available. You will need Lidge and Nathan to pitch to at least their expectations and players like Vlad to get hot. If all that happens you could make a run.

Pretty good team, I'm not sure with whom you could make a move except for dropping Sheffield and picking up another explosive FA. I suppose the only area which might require an upgrade is your 1B slot, assuming Sexson doesn't come around. Possibly sell Jered Weaver high for a 1B? Tough call, really.

I would fix that 1B problem.. Not really big on your util players either. I would say try to sell high on Weaver if you can for a 1B. Or wait for Pettitte to have a few more good games an sell him high if possible. Smoltz might breakdown this year also. I have him on my team an a little worried.

yes, Id try to fix the 1B area - perhaps sell high on Pettite - Jered Weaver may be going back down to AAA.

Been there, done that man... your team is similar to my team (in regards to batting... pitching is way different...) And I will tell you this... I am in 1st place in my league by 12 points, so you're not far off to be honest with you... you don't need to do much tweaking on your squad to be honest with you... how far off from 1st are you? I'd be surprised if it was by a lot... but then again, I don't know what the 1st place team looks like either... :-/

I am in the same Yahoo Fantasy Baseball thing as you, 10 team, non-keeper, batting stats the same, except adding OPS as well and pitching we don't have K/9...

What I would do is try and package a relief pitcher + starting pitcher for a better SP like... a big time name if you could... nothing is coming to mind, i just got up! LOL... anyway, also try and trade Sexson or drop him and add Casey into your lineup... Sexson sucks no offense dude...

Anyway this is my 1st Place Squad, and I'll let you compare mine with yours, and you can see what tweaking you can do on your squad... ;-D

MY Roster:

C - Ramon Hernandez - Orioles
1B - Chase Utley - Phillies
2B - Dan Uggla - Marlins (Check and see if this guy is in FA Pool...)
3B - Miguel Cabrera - Marlins
SS - Jose Reyes - Mets
IF - Orlando Cabrera - Angels
OF - Manny Ramirez - Red Sox
OF - Corey Patterson - Orioles
OF - Vladimir Guerrero - Angels
UT - Bill Hall - Brewers
UT - David Ross - Reds

SP - Johan Santana - Twins
SP - Mike Mussina - Yankees
SP - John Lackey - Angels
SP - Kevin Millwood - Rangers
SP - Ian Snell - Pirates
SP - Jason Marquis - Cardinals
SP - Roger Clemens - Astros

RP - Jason Isringhausen - Cardinals
RP - "Newly-Acquired" BJ Ryan - Blue Jays
RP - Takashi Saito - LA Dodgers

Deep RP - Jose Valverde - gonna trade this one with Saito + a 3rd player for Papelbon, gonna try to anyway... :-b

i think your team is good and will stay competitive and compete for first place. The two places i think you could upgrade are first for sexon, package him and a good starter for a top tier 1B, and also SS, if you could pick up someone like reyes that will do everything and do it better than furcal because he is in a better lineup. Other than that it seems like you are doing pretty good.

any help is appreciated

You need to get rid of sexson that is the only problem everything else looks good pitching is great just might want to get some more speed.

For a ten team league, your team looks very solid. Try to lose Sexson, and your team could be quite good. Like an earlier thread mentioned, you might want to add some speed. Adding another SB machine to Figgins' SB's could win you steals almost every week. Your team looks 1-2 moves away from being at or near the #1 spot in your league.

I'd appreciate your help
