Patterson to make another rehab start

Postby Chip1010 » Wed Jun 14, 2006 4:37 am

From what I can tell, no one has posted this yet. From Rotoworld:

John Patterson (forearm) will make one more rehab start after going 4 2/3 innings for Triple-A New Orleans on Monday.
He will pitch for Single-A Potomac on Saturday, then return to the Nationals for their series at Baltimore on June 23.

Well I'm ok with this, as I didn't have him in my weekly lineup anyways, and I don't know how well he'd do vs the Yankees in his first start back.

Pretty much my thoughts. This makes my decision easier. I was wondering whether I should start or sit him against the Yanks fresh off the DL.

From what I read at some other sites, the team figured that they'd give him an extra rehab start because the Nats' rotation has been doing pretty well. Apparently this next start is for him to work on his curveball. I'm banking on a pretty solid comeback, given the relatively minor injury and the long time he's had to recoup.

Knock on wood. :-D
