Homer Bailey, Reds...Ace potential w/ a bery high ceiling. get him now if you can! K's a ton. When he gets his control ironed out a lil bit he will be great.
Matt Garza , Twins..he K's a lot and is something like 8-2 in the minors w/ a great ERA. !st round pick 2 years ago.
Cesar Carrillo, Padres. Under the radar now because he's just coming of the Dl (forarm strain)...1st round pick in 05 and recently promoted to AAA. Pads #1 prospect.
Phillip Hughes, Yanks (recent talks of the Yanks trading him to Nats for Soriano) One scout called him Mark Prior Jr...Just tossed a gem last night in AA...a 1 hitter I think w/ a lot of K's.

haha
well, that comparison of Prior is when he's healthy....he's the yanks top prospect.
Bailey may get a call in September, sort of like M Cain last year...and I think he hjas a shot at the rotation in 2007. His control has improved this year and he looked very good in Spring Training for what it's worth.

Well being called Prior Jr. is definitely not a bad thing when Prior has one of the 3 best arms to come to the majors in the last 15 years or so. Now if we can just get him healthy.
As far as Bailey, he could get a September callup this year depending on how many innings he has pitched by then.
Pelfrey only 47 IP at AA hopefully he doesn't see MLB until next year at the earliest
Hughes only 47 IP at AA , same as above
Garza only 29 IP at AA , same as above
Carrillo, I like him, KC drafted him a few years back but he went to college instead Not quite as good as the above though....
Sowers seems like Zach Duke, puss thrower who can throw strikes and knows what he is doing on the mound. I'm not big on these types of guys as there aren't many out there that can be consistantly good at the MLB level. .. Let me rephrase that, he can be a very good #3 type pitcher but compared to most of these other guys he isn't in the same class, IMO

Pelfrey was shaky in his first three starts in AA but has absolutely dominated in his last six or seven. He will be up by the All Star Break, even sooner if Trachsel continues to stink.
Hughes has just struggled and definitely is not ready.
edit-didnt see hughes outing yesterday wow. he may be turning it around
