Willingham going on the DL... Question!?!?

Postby Shark » Tue Jun 13, 2006 8:19 pm

Here's the news:

Still troubled by a strained ligament in his left hand, Josh Willingham is expected to go on the DL before Wednesday's game.

Now... the question: Why they are waiting for tomorrow before the game to put him on the DL?

Cause now, Yahoo will show him as on the DL on thursday. If they were doing it tonight, it would reflect tomorrow in Yahoo system... no?

Idea for those who are going to replace Willingham, snap up Anaheim's Mike Napoli ... he's been looking promising, and I'm going to try him out while Willingham is on the DL. Seems like he'd be worth a shot for others, too, if you can find the roster space to add him, anyways.

I think you can view this even if you aren't playing ESPN's fantasy baseball (which I don't recommend, by the way ... quite the opposite): http://games.espn.go.com/cgi/flb/player ... atsId=7373

Luckily I have some dead wood to drop.
I grabbed Ross in both my leagues. Maybe by the time he cools off Willingham will come off the DL.
