Who should I start? I have 195 innings left this season. I have Foppert against the Phillies, Santana against Detroit (no brainer), Washburn against Cleveland, and Vazquez against Houston.
I'm thinking start Vaz and Santana and bench the other two. Comments? I could use wins and a lowering of my ERA. I'm way out front in Ks.
santana is the only one i would really consider starting tomorrow. if you are way ahead of k's, then there is no reason to risk starting vasquez vs. houston. washburn and foppert are too streaky.
I agree with what you're leaning towards. Houston's a big hitting team, but Vaz should be able to pitch well against them. However, I'd look to try to trade Vaz soon. His pitch counts have been pretty high. You're right, Santana's a no brainer. Foppert's risky and I don't know if you want to take the risk. I don't think the chances are with you. Philly's offense can get very hot. I wouldn't go anywhere near Jarrod Washburn. He's way too inconsistent for my tastes.

With a big K lead, there's no reason to risk any more starts. Go with Santana and that's it.
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....

yep...but Vaz took the loss, giving up 3 ER in 6 IP's with 3 K's...
