His stat line is painful to look at. The ERA is high, but the WHIP is through the roof. His BAA is up, walks are up, Ks are down, H/IP is 90/81 (very bad). He always blows up later on because of wear or tear or not throwing the sinker as much but where is he going?
BTW, I hear rumors he will be getting traded, where do you see him going to if at all? How long is his contract?
Sean Tracey has my apologies, we all know Ozzie Guillen is an idiot. I'm rooting for you!

He's not a K person. Like I said, I liked Mulder (he was better) when he was still back in OAK. I'm still sticking with him (maybe not starting him unless it's a favorable match) until he proves himself. If he doesn't I'm just gonna drop him because I can afford to.
Well of the supposed top 3 SPs on the free agent market next season (Mulder, Pettitte and Zito), only Zito is doing well. He has to be loving it as he is going to get a 4 year 65 M contract the way things are going.
Zito has been great. Mulder is just trending down. It's been happening since the 2nd half of 2004 in Oakland. I don't see him getting any better. BUT, I expect Pettitte to pick it up. He's had a couple good starts now and should rebound.
Mulder is the subject of much trade talk here in St. Louis. If he still has any value, it's very likely the Cards will move him. Also, the other poster is correct, the Haren trade (while I agreed with it at the time) has turned out to be down right awful. I just don't see a turn around for him. He won't be this bad all year, but a 4.20-4.30 ERA seems like a best case scenario, and he really won't help you in any category except for wins. If he suddenly "gets it," I will be pleasantly suprised, but I just don't see it happening.
