Is this a fair trade?

Postby cy23young » Tue Jun 13, 2006 1:59 pm

I never thought I would ever complain about a trade.

todd jones and pat burrell

for

carlos lee and k greene ss

Is this a one sided trade or could I be missing something.

I don't see why that's one sided. Someone needs a closer and are still getting a pretty good outfielder in return.

It's a fair trade.... Lee is the pick of the litter for sure, but closers are rare and Burrell ain't bad and can go on raking streaks.

Depends on needs. I deseperately need a closer right now and PHI is a much better offense and ballpark for hitters so I don't see this being terrible. I would take the Lee side in a second though.

Don't feel bad, I was just offered J.Lopez for Soriano in dynasty...

Sean Tracey has my apologies, we all know Ozzie Guillen is an idiot. I'm rooting for you!

There will come a day when Barry Bonds leaves baseball, and everything about the game will be the better for it.

Very fair. Nothing wrong with this trade at all. In fact, both teams may benefit, depending on their respective roster needs.
