I picked him up in my salary cap league to fill in for Konerko next week (two series in NL parks), so I'm sure he'll go ice cold come Monday and you call all thank me.
Seriously, though, it's a year removed, but he had almost exactly the same kind of hype as 2006 Ryan Howard in 2005. Hit 20 homer in a half-season when he was called up.
Glad he may have finally arrived.
Justin Morneau went 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBI to lead the Twins to a 6-5 win over the Royals on Monday.
Morneau has driven in at least one run in 17 of 22 games and is up to 71 RBI for the season. It's hard to argue that he deserved a spot on the All-Star team when neither Travis Hafner nor Jason Giambi got named to the club, but he deserves some recognition for the outstanding two-month run he's put together. The Twins have now won 11 straight. Jul. 4 - 12:08 am et
