Is he beginning to turn it around? He batted .270+ during May and is currently over .300 in June. Plus he is all the way up to 47 RBI's. Not too long ago, people were projecting him as one of the finest young mashers in the game.
Any thoughts?

i think he is turning it around, i am starting him in place of an injured pujols

I hope so. I've got him starting now. The power has been there all year but I was starting to think he is actually a .250 hitter. I would like to see him continue bringing his average up for a while before I consider him more than a low-average power hitter.

At the beginning of the year I was thinking at least .270 but he sure is taking his time.

Just when I'm about to give up on him. :-D

Morneau's success depends a lot on how well he does against LHP. He has managed to hit .231 so far against them this year, a lot better than the .201 in 05 and close to the .240 in 04. His AVG against RHP hasn't fluctuated as much.

It will be interesting to see if he can keep it up.

He's been turning it around slowly before having a very nice week this past one. Hopefully it's a trend and not a fluke.

Morneau is batting 5th now for awhile apparently. Cuddyer 4th & Hunter 6th

I was thinking he would turn out more like a Dunn type player wher a .260 average is good....but his average is coming up nicely.
