Soup or Salad?

Postby Dan Lambskin » Tue Jun 13, 2006 9:10 am

so...which do you prefer when eating out?

i usually opt for soup most of the time, as long as it's cream based, bisque style or some sort of gumbo. if it's anything lame like chicken noodle or vegetable i usually pass.

i was going to add a "depends" option but i want to know what you'd choose most of the time

I went with salad because soup is a "cold months" food and it's usually warm here.

I do like the comment about salad being "my food's food." That's a good line.

I prefer salad, if I can fix it myself. If it is an already prepared salad, then I choose soup.

Alsmost exclusively salad, although there is one place I go frequently that has soups that are just ridiculous, so usually soup there, and I'll usually make an exception for clam chowder...other than that...salad.

If I'm making the soup, it's soup hands down, especially if it's my Black Bean soup. ;-D

If you give us your Black Bean Soup recipe I'll give you my Clam Chowder recipe. I also have a very good Minestrone recipe to barter if you have more.

Home-made soup is the BOMB!!! ;-D
