When setting your lineup..?

Do you normally go with the hot bat or avoid the ace pitchers? i've noticed that different people in my league approach this differently and was just wondering what tactic is your favorite? What carries the most weight with you, one of these or perhaps playing in a hitters park or batter vs. pitcher matchups? thanks for the info and your time.

Hot bat unless it's vs. Santana, Halladay, Contreras, or Webb.
