Josh Towers is alive!

The more critical loss had come earlier, when Ricciardi learned that pitcher Gustavo Chacin would be out until after the all-star break with a recurrence of an old elbow injury. That leaves the Jays with just two non-rookies in their starting rotation and means Josh Towers will almost certainly be called up from Triple-A Syracuse to take the mound this week.

Rumors of his demise were greatly exagerrated, in reality it was only his arm that died.
