MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Justin Morneau's favorite part about playing first base when Francisco Liriano is pitching comes on the rare occasion when a hitter actually gets to him.
"They look at me and say, 'I don't know how I got here,"' Morneau said with a smile.
They seldom do.

Coming from an actual player should weigh more than what fantasy baseball players (i.e., "expert baseball analysts") speculate. Anyway, pretty awesome for Liriano to get such a write up.
PS - no dis, I'm an expert as well

Liriano has some of the nastiest raw stuff I've seen -- better even than Johan's, although he lacks Johan's pinpoint control.

He's been fantastic so far. I drafted him in all my leagues and was getting so incredibly impatient because of his extended bullpen time, but it has proved to be completely worth it. He's been a stud. I wonder where he'll be drafted next year..

The Twins could have been a lot closer to the Tigers and White Sox if he had.
Confidence.
They wanted to let him log a decent amount of innings in lower pressure situations than as the starter so he would come out poised with experience.
Basically making sure he didn’t have any jitters that would lead to a mental lapse.

They did the same thing with Santana in fact there are many similarities between these two guys. I still think their cautious approach with Liriano was unecessary and now they have Baker, Lohse and Silva all suffering from confidence problems.

Dude in my league who drafted him traded him for Craig Wilson and J.C. Romero, both of which he no longer has on his team.

Ugh, I was one of those impatient owners.
Dropping him netted me Otsuka, which has worked out okay... but looking back, I wish I had just dumped Bonds or something.
